River adventures

We’ve got a beautiful, wild river where you can spend hours exploring and jumping from rocks and finding your own perfect swimming spot! Almost completely private and running right by the hostel!

Simply chill with the animals

Dogs, cats, a (rescued) horse, chicken, ducks, if you like animals, you have come to the right place!

Guatape and El Peñol

Guatape is a 30min bus ride away and shortly after the famous rock “Piedra del Peñol”. Perfect for a half-day trip or a stop-over on the way from or to Medellín.

Simply catch the bus in front of our hostel that runs every hours, ask us for more details!

Explore waterfalls

San Rafael is famous for its many waterfalls, most of which are only a short walk away from where we are and easily accessible

Adventures with our guides

We work with local guides who offer adventure activities such as river-tubing, canyoning, hiking trails to exclusive waterfalls, as well as a cocoa tour or bird watching. Check our details through whatsapp!

The town of San Rafael

San Raffa will not win any beauty contest like Jardin or Guatape but it makes up for it by being truly genuine and not yet swarmed by tourists. Perfect to enjoy a coffee at the plaza and do some people-watching.
