From Medellín
Take a bus from the north terminal (Metro station “Caribe”) directly to San Rafael, no changes needed! There are two companies, both charge the same, take whichever leaves earlier. Price as per 2023:

From Gutape
Take any bus leaving town towards San Rafael (opposite direction than Medellín)
IMPORTANT
Don’t go all the way to San Rafael! We are on the main road but 7km before town. Check the GPS (we are on maps.me and google maps) and tell the driver to stop in front of our hostel. Alternatively tell them to stop “una curva más encima del castillo en Bizcocho”
From San Rafael
Simply ask any tuk-tuk driver to get you our place, it’s around 7km from town, don’t pay more than 13’000 COP. If they don’t know where it is tell them it’s 100m up the road from “El Castillo en Bizcocho” or in Spanish:
“hostal perla negra, cien metros encima del castillo en bizcocho”
